First church council installed, Roy Teske president. (Roy and his wife Gladys are still active at Bethel. Roy built the altar furniture in the present sanctuary and Gladys heads the Library Committee.)

Oak pews installed in the sanctuary. (Roy Teske used these pews to make the altar furniture in the Sherwood Park sanctuary.)

The Fellowship-Education Wing dedicated.

Pastor Ted Heinze installed as Bethel’s 3^rd pastor.

The annual budget exceeded $100,000.

Dec 1981

Sunday services at Jubilee Lodge Nursing home began, a ministry which continued until 2001.

Nov 1982

Bethel’s first Oktoberfest held.

Jun 12, 1983

Bethel’s mortgage burned.

Two services per Sunday started.

May 19, 1987

Pastor Marvin Ziprick installed as Bethel’s 4^th pastor.

Nov 1992

The congregation voted to move to establish a regional mission in Sherwood Park.

Nov 1997

Normay Wiebe inducted as Bethel’s Contemporary Worship Director.

Apr 1997

The church building in Edmonton sold.

Aug 1999

Ann Nelson started as Office Administrator.

Services held in Festival Place, Sherwood Park and sundry other places.

Apr 30, 2000

First service held in the new sanctuary in Sherwood Park.

May 28, 2000

New church building in Sherwood Park dedicated.

The 2^nd Sunday service started.

Connie Bromley inducted as Blended Worship Coordinator.

The 9:45 service added.

Pastor Matthew Ziprick installed.

Michael Gillingham installed as Director of Youth Ministries.

An additional 4 acres of land adjacent to the property purchased.

Heather Lademann started as Office Assistant.

Construction of addition and renovations to the building began.

Deloyce Elle installed as Director of Children’s Ministries.

Construction of addition finished.

Bethel Lutheran Education Services Preschool starts.

Heather Book, preschool teacher as well as Irene Pelster and Cheryl Skorobohach as preschool assistants hired.

Expanded parking lot finished.
